1.0. OBJECTIVE :
1.1.
To lay down a written procedure for Safety
training of factory employee.
2.0. SCOPE :
2.1
This
procedure is applicable in of any emergency like – Fire,
chemical poisoning, Gas poisoning, electrical leakage, Sudden power failure
occurs in any of the department in plant i.e. Tablets, Warehouse, Finished
Product Stores, Engineering and Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Quality
Control, Personnel and Administration, Security office and Refreshment area
etc.
3.0. RESPONSIBILITY :
3.1. Officer
(P & A) is responsible for action to be taken as per this SOP.
3.2.
Manager of respective dept shall
responsible for inform any emergency to P&A dept.
4.0. ACCOUNTABILITY :
Head of the P & A
department
5.0. PROCEDURE :
5.1. In case of
chemical poisoning in drinking water.
5.1.1
Close the main supply and the taps.
5.1.2
Inform all the department about poisoning.
5.1.3
Arrange for alternate water supply.
5.1.4
Clean the tank / cooler etc.
5.2.
In case of Gas poisoning in room /
section.
5.2.1
Inform all the personnel inside to leave
the room / section.
5.2.2
Open all the windows which can drain the
air to the atmosphere.
5.2.3
Incase the room has no windows, use
exhaust and drain out the poisonous gas or smoke
5.2.4
Arrange for alternate water supply
5.3 In case of fire
accident
5.3.1
Use the fire extinguishers provided at the
nearby area or department.
5.3.2
In the mean time, fire service can be
informed and fire engine may be ask for, if found major.
5.4
In case of Electricity leakage and
Electrical accidents
5.4.1
Switch 'OFF' the main and inform all the
department to keep the machines off and intimate about the problem encountered.
5.4.2
Inform Gujarat Electricity Board to
rectify the fault.
5.5 In case of Sudden power failure
5.5.1 Inform Engineering
department to solve the problem.
5.6 Transport facility in case of Emergency
5.6.1. The
Officer P & A shall arrange vehicle
in case of any medical emergency.
