1.0. OBJECTIVE :
1.1 To lay down the procedure for washing of garments.
2.0. SCOPE :
2.1 This procedure is applicable for operating washing works at the factory for production area garments.
3.0. RESPONSIBILITY :
3.1
Laundry worker shall be responsible for cleaning & laundry of
garment.
3.2 P & A personnel shall be responsible for checking of garment.
4.0. ACCOUNTABILITY :
Head - P&A
5.0 PROCEDURE :
5.1 Laundry worker shall collect garments on
alternate day from the production area change rooms.
5.2 Operation Procedure of Washing Machine.
5.2.1 To
check power supply to start machine.
5.2.2 To fill water in the washing machine with 30
to 40 gms Liquid soap depending on the
garments to be cleaned.
5.2.3
13 to 15 Kg's (61 to 65 Aprons)
garments to be kept in loading basket and shutter & bolts of machine to be
closed.
5.2.4
After closing shutter of washing
machine main switch to set 'ON' & To
set timer for 2 minutes & 30 seconds
after that machine to be stopped for 30 seconds.
5.2.5 After
one cycle machine to be switched off for 30 seconds.
5.2.6 Dirty
water to be taken out from the loading basket through the drain valve.
5.2.7
To fill again clean water into the washing machine and to run the
machine for 10 minutes.
5.2.8 Dirty water to be taken out from the washing machine.
5.2.9 Machine to be set on for 10 minute for soaking
and drying wet garments to be taken out from washing machine.
5.2.10
All Garments to be taken out for drying.
5.3. Procedure for washing of Sleeper :
5.3.1. Collect all pairs of sleeper from respective
area as per schedule in Plastic drum.
5.3.2 All Sleepers should be washed manually by
plastic brush, detergent powder and water.
