OBJECTIVE :
Proper storage of powder is essential till further processing. This is Necessary to prevent mix-ups, absorption of moisture or degradation powder. Proper Storage of powder also Facilitates products/batch number identification.

This procedure
is applicable for the storage of in-process material which generated during the
beta lactum product manufacturing at any pharma.

5.0
PROCEDURE:
5.1 At the end of the mixing process the mixed powder will be unloaded in to suitable SS container i.e pre-weighed along with poly bags.
5.2 The powder will be unloaded in to this poly bag in the container to approximately 80-90 % of the holding capacity of this bag to facilitate proper tying with twine.
5.3 A label indicating product, batch no., serial number of the container and total number of container will be affixed on the inner side of the lid of the container.
5.4 After closing the container, a similar additional label will also be affixed on the exterior of the container.
5.5 All this container of batch will be once again weighed, to determine the gross weight and consequently the net weight of powder.
5.6 The container will then transferred on a suitable trolley to the wipe area and will be stored in zone marked for powder.
5.7 All the container of a particular batch will be segregated by a wooden partition.
5.8 The container will be placed in such a way that all the container labels are facing the individual inspecting the batch.
